A fifteen story office building, at a cost $2.7 million, it was built under the leadership of Lincoln Income president John T. Acree, Jr. Designed by the Taliesin Associated Architects, William Wesley Peters. Peters married Wright's adopted daughter Svetlana in 1935, but lost her and a son eleven years later in a car crash. Peters based the design of the Louisville complex on a unbuilt design Wright created in 1945 for the Sarabhai Calico Mills Store, Ahmadabad, India. In 1986, following Lincoln Income's acquisition by Conceco Insurance of Indianapolis, Kaden Companies Partnership acquired the building and changed its name to the Kaden Tower.
